Maybe. Stuff like that does get changed on purpose in fiction, though I'm
not aware of another example in SB. (Did everyone spot the Constitutional
blunder in that same episode?) What bothers me more, Karen often uses
unAmerican phrases like "might have _done_."

I think JW was also in an episode of the Fifth Doctor; I'm picturing him
in a green velvet tunic as some kind of state councillor.
